Roots School
This spring welcomes the birth of Roots School, llc to the Montpelier, VT area. The name, Roots, stands for Reclaiming Our Origins through Traditional Skills. The purpose of this school is to educate people in the arts of Traditional Survival Skills from around the world, Tracking and Awareness, and Indigenous Philosophy. Roots School will be running classes, open to the public, in Middlesex, VT all summer long. Classes will cover topics such as Primitive Fishing, Tracking and Awareness, Flint Knapping, Primitive Fire Making, Bow Building, Primitive Cooking, Cordage Making, and much more.
Roots School, llc was founded this spring by Brad Salon and Sarah Corrigan. Brad and Sarah have a combined fifteen years experience with these skills and have pursued this knowledge at the Tracker School, the Wilderness Awareness School, PAST Skills Wilderness School, as well as independent studies at Goddard College and Drew University respectively. They are driven by the power of these ancient skills and their desire to share their knowledge and lead people into deeper relationships with the Earth that supports us.
